Functional Bloodwork Analysis
What’s the difference between you and my doctor looking at bloodwork?
When looking at bloodwork through a functional medicine lens, healthcare practitioners assess not only the values falling outside the reference range but also focus on optimal levels for overall health and wellness. They evaluate patterns and trends in the results to identify underlying imbalances and potential root causes of symptoms. This helps us to prevent and treat conditions. In contrast, a normal medical perspective typically relies on identifying and treating specific diseases or conditions based on established reference ranges, without always considering the holistic view of the patient's health and lifestyle factors that could be impacting their bloodwork results.
What will happen?
First things first - click on one of the buttons to be directed to our contact page. On that page, leave us a message that you are interested in the functional bloodwork analysis! Greg will reach out with more information on how/where to get bloodwork taken, how to forward it to us, and will help you set up an appointment time.
Next, you get your blood drawn at either your primary care physician (PCP) or a lab near you. If you have had it taken in the past 2 months, we can utilize that! Once labs are taken and measured, we will have the results forwarded to Greg! At that point - he will look at your bloodwork from a functional perspective, looking for patterns, trends, out of range markers, and more than could be causing or worsening your specific symptoms.
When we meet, I'll go over your lab results with you in detail. We'll review each marker, what it means, where we want it to be, and how it fits into the bigger picture of your health. I'll share my clinical impressions and initial ideas on where we should focus our efforts. In subscriptions, this is just the start of our relationship and the path to you feeling better! Together, we'll dive deeper into your unique situation, collaborate on a customized plan, and track your progress each step of the way. I'm committed to truly understanding you as a whole person, not just a lab report. Our time will be spent bringing clarity to your results, mapping out next steps, and making sure you leave feeling heard, empowered and optimistic about improving your health.
